I got Covid during this unit so it's just barely a unit lol.
Dragon Genetics Summative Project
I am so happy with how this turned out! I adapted this original free resource from an old issue of Science Scope. I made chromosomes, cut them out, and stuffed them in Easter eggs to make it a little more hands on (I added pipe cleaners to half the eggs to make flagella).
The students REALLY enjoyed this project as a capstone to our study of genetics. It took them two 80 minute periods to complete.
Organelle Trail
I made this board game so we would have something educational to do the day before Winter Break. I'm happy with how it turned out and the kids... well, they hated it but they're 12 so...
I wrote some questions to go with the game. They were easy to make using the Avery name tag cards that I found in my classroom (probably from some other project I never started).
